It was a lovely experience to visit the University of Tokyo's Kashiwa-no-ha campus in the Chiba prefecture in Japan last month. Had the chance to make a presentation on 'The Ordinary city and the Extraordinary city' at University of Tokyo's Kashiwa campus in Japan last month. There were four of us discussing how urban informality works in four different contexts: Bangalore (India), Hanoi (Vietnam), Bandung (Indonesia) and Nanjing (China).
